Zap is a playable character in the Skylanders series, in said series he is a part of the Water Element.
Biography[]
Zap was born into the royal family of water dragons, but a riptide washed him to a distant sea, where he was raised by electric eels. Growing up, he excelled in everything and even created a special gold harness that allows him to carry an endless electrical charge and shock things at a great distance. Zap also proved to be a gifted racer, outstripping any opponent... with the possible exception of the dolphins. With them, it became a good natured challenge to see who could keep up with Zap. But an electric current in his wake often reminded them who they were dealing with. Despite his mischievous streak, Zap grew to be a true protector of the seas and Skylands.

Skylanders[]
Zap was one of the Core Skylanders that protected the Core of Light from Kaos and his minions in Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, until one of his minions destroyed it and sent the Skylanders to Earth. This lead the new Portal Masters to bring the Skylanders back to Skylands in hopes of rebuilding the Core of Light as well as defeat Kaos and his minions.
Zap gains new abilities in Skylanders: Giants, while helping the Giants in their adventure to prevent Kaos from trying to reawaken the Arkeyan army.
Zap was one of the Skylanders that appeared in the now discontinued Skylanders: Universe, roaming Skylands and finding treasures.
He also appeared in Skylanders: Cloud Patrol.
Zap may also appear in Skylanders: SWAP-Force, Skylanders: Trap Team, Skylanders: SuperChargers, Skylanders: SuperChargers Racing and Skylanders: Imaginators, where he would help those various Skylander teams in their respected adventures
