Young Xehanort later known as The Boy in Black, is a recurring antagonist in the Kingdom Hearts series.

History[]

Kingdom Hearts[]

Young Xehanort began his adventure on Destiny Island hoping to see other worlds, he was later given the ability to travel through time thanks to a Robed Figure. The Boy in Black, would often play chest with his best friend The Boy in White. As fortellings for fights in the future or the past with the Boy in Black always choosing the Black and gold pieces.

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Young Xehanort is a miniboss that appears if the player goes back to the Land of Departure and will leave after his defeat.

In Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded, Young Xehanort is seen talking to Braig about what plans they have for the future.

In Kingdom Hearts 3D Dream Drop Distance, Young Xehanort appeared throughout all of the sleeping worlds, trying to antagonise both Sora and Riku with Ansem the Seeker of Darkness and Xemnas until Sora fell to slumber. He was then seen after Riku tried to rescue him with the two fighting, Young Xehanort then faded to another time.

In Kingdom Hearts III, Young Xehanort first appeared in a Replica World known as the Toy Box, where he was taunting Sora, Donald and Goofy about Buzz Lightyear until Woody told him to get lost and so he did but not before summoning the King of Toys. He was later seen in the Keyblade Graveyard with Vanitas, Ansem the Seeker of Darkness, Xemnas and his older self, He appeared to Sora after his many battles against the Lich. Young Xehanort then fought with Ansem and Xemnas against Sora, Riku and King Mickey until his defeat, where he trash talked Sora and returned back to his own timeline.

Young Xehanort would later grow up to be Master Xehanort to do various studies.
