Tree Rex is a playable character in the Skylanders series, in the series he is a part of the Life Element.
Biography[]
Long before the Giants protected Skylands, Tree Rex was a majestic tree living peacefully in the ancient woods. But this tranquil existence came to an end when the Arkeyans built a nearby factory to produce war machines. After years of his soil being poisoned by the magic and tech waste from the factory, he mutated into who he is now - a powerful Giant who will crush anything that threatens the natural order of things.

Skylanders[]
Tree Rex was one of the eight Giants that protected Skylands from the iron rule of the Arkeyans but later vanished after defeating the Arkeyan King.
Tree Rex returned in Skylanders: Giants, where he and the other Giants went to prevent Kaos from obtaining the Iron Fist of Arkas. He also has a Sidekick known as Barkley and a counterpart known as Gnarley Tree Rex.
Tree Rex is one of the Skylanders that appeared in the now discontinued Skylanders: Universe, roaming Skylands and finding treasures.
He also appears in Skylanders: Battlecast, as a part of a card based strategy game.
Tree Rex appeared in the comic Skylanders: Issue 0 The Trap Masters, where he is seen holding a falling rock, possibly to prevent some Mabu from being trapped underneath it or making shore they escape, along with Gill Grunt and Star Strike.
Tree Rex made a cameo appearance in the comic Skylanders: Issue 2 Mini But Mighty, where he was seen when Cali and Tessa was explaining the heroic deeds of the Skylanders.
Tree Rex also gain two new counterparts in Skylanders: Trap Team, known as Barkley and Gnarley Barkley, where they will help the Trap Masters in their quest to recapture the freed Villains.
Tree Rex also appeared in Skylanders: Ring of Heroes, while gaining an Awakened Form.
Tree Rex may also appear in Skylanders: SWAP-Force, Skylanders: SuperChargers, Skylanders: SuperChargers Racing and Skylanders: Imaginators, where he would help those various Skylander teams in their respected adventures.
