Thumpling is a playable character in the Skylanders series. In the series he is a part of the Water Element.

Thumpling has the same backstory as Thumpback, possibly because he is Thumpback's Sidekick and Mini counterpart with two known forms. He made his first appearance in Skylanders: Giants, where he would help both the Skylanders and the Giants to prevent Kaos from reawakening the ancient Arkeyan army.
Thumpling also appears in Skylanders: SWAP-Force, to once again help the Skylanders in their battle again Kaos.
Thumpling appeared in the now discontinued Skylanders: Universe, as a magic item.
Thumpling appeared in the comic Skylanders: Issue 1 Forgetting Flynn, where he and the other Minis on the Dreadyacht with Flynn on their way to Skylander Academy, only to later see Flynn leave.
Thumpling also made a cameo appearance in the comic Skylanders: Issue 2 Mini But Mighty, where he and the other Minis were saved by Tessa.
In Skylanders: Trap Team, Thumpling and the seven other Sidekicks joined a new group of Skylanders known as the Minis. They would go off to help the Skylanders and the Trap Masters to fight and capture the Villains.
Thumpling would also appear in Skylanders: SuperChargers, Skylanders: SuperChargers Racing and Skylanders: Imaginators, where he would help the SuperChargers, the Senseis and the Imaginators in their respected adventures.
