Thumpback is a playable character in the Skylanders series. In the series he is a part of the Water Element.
Biography[]
Thumpback was once a crew member of The Phantom Tide, the most fearsome pirate ship in all of Skylands. But the actual pirating part about being a pirate didn't interest Thumpback so much as the benefits that came with traveling on a large ship. After all, his real passion was fishing. But when his chance came to finally ensnare the most elusive creature in the sky - the Leviathan Cloud Crab - he was pulled over board and carried off into the horizon. This was actually quite fortunate, because sometime later The Phantom Tide and its entire crew were banished to the Chest of Exile. Thumpback's pirating days were over, but his legend as one of the first Skylanders had only just begun.

Long ago, Thumpback and seven other warriors created a group that are considered as the first Skylanders in hopes of defeating the Arkeyan King and his army. After they stopped the King, these seven warriors were banished and was never seen again.
In Skylanders: Giants, Thumpback and the other Giants came back to Skylands so they could prevent Kaos from obtaining the Iron Fist of Arkus. He also has a Sidekick known as Thumpling that later became a Skylander.
Thumpback appeared in the now discontinued Skylanders: Universe, as one of the playable Skylanders. Roaming Skylands and finding treasures.
He also appeared in Skylanders: Cloud Patrol.
Thumpback made a cameo appearance in the comic Skylanders: Issue 1 Forgetting Flynn, where he was seen with other Skylanders helping Master Eon to fight against Kaos.
Thumpback also made a cameo in the comic Skylanders: Issue 2 Mini But Mighty, where he was seen when Cali and Tessa were explaining to Weeruptor about the heroic deeds of the Skylanders.
Thumpback may also appear in Skylanders: SWAP-Force, Skylanders: Trap Team, Skylanders: SuperChargers, Skylanders: SuperChargers Racing and Skylanders: Imaginators, where he would help the various Skylander teams in their respected adventures.
