The Black Mass is former main antagonist in the Samurai Jack series.

Samurai Jack[]
The Black Mass came into existence in the episode The Birth of Evil, Part 1, where it later fought against Odin, Vishnu and Ra, only to lose and had a peace of it sent to the planet earth. It was later seen corrupting the land and consuming anything it could. In the edo period of Japan a young Emperor went to destroy this blooming evil, only to create the being that called itself Aku and that being imprisoned the Emperor than went to destroy that cities around him.
In the episode The Birth of Evil, Part 2, what was left of the The Black Mass either became Aku, or kept the Emperor imprisoned, only for Odin's horse to free the Emperor and destroy most of the corruption.
in Episode CI, Samurai Jack destroyed Aku, effectively destroying what was left off of the Black Mass.
