It is belevied that this version of Tails shares the same history as his prime counterpart, up until Sonic Generations.
Tails made his first appearance in LEGO Dimensions, where Sonic the Hedgehog went to visit him, only to find out that Tails was kidnapped by Dr. Eggman, he however was rescued by Sonic quickly, along with Shadow the Hedgehog, Knuckles the Ekidna and Big the Cat. Tails then went to help Sonic on his mission to fight against Eggman, collect the remaining Chaos Emeralds and rescure Amy Rose.
Tails would also appear in the Sonic world to offer a quest and would appear piloting the Tornado when Sonic enters it.
