The Stormtroopers are a group of antagonists in the Star Wars series.
History[]
Star Wars[]
The Stormtroopers came into existence in Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, after Darth Sidious lead the Clone Troopers and Darth Vader to turn on and fight against the Jedi. He also commissioned them to create the Death Star.
The Stormtroopers were first seen in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, where they were sent to capture Princess Leia Organa and to fight against the Rebel Alliance. They were later sent to Tatooine to paralyze the the Jawas and burned the family of Darth Vader's step brother. The Stormtroopers later went to fight against Luke Skywalker, Ben Kenobi until he died by Darth Vader's hands, Han Solo and Chewbacca to prevent them from rescuing the princess and destroying the Death Star, they however failed.
The Stormtroopers made their second appearance in Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back, where Darth Vader sent them to Hoth to battle against the Rebellion, only to later chase down the Millennium Falcon to Cloud City and take over. They also had a deal with some Bounty Hunters, such as Boba Fett to hand Han Solo over to Jabba the Hutt.
The Stormtroopers also appeared in Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, where they created a replacement Death Star for the Emperor. They later went to fight against the Rebels at Endor and in Space to defend the Death Star, only to be defeated by both the Rebels and their new allies the Ewoks.
Some subfactions of the Stormtroopers continued to take over the galaxy in both the Legends and Disney timelines, only to be defeated by future Jedi.
