The Squid Baron is a recurring neutral-antagonist in the Shantae series.

The Squid Baron was one of the three Barons that held the seals of the Genie lamp, he is also a parent of Warp Squids. In Shantae: Risky's Revenge, The Squid Baron was under the threat of Risky Boots and was given something to eat by Shantae and flead deeper in his labyrinth. Afterwards, both Shantae and the Squid Baron fought against each other with the Baron losing. The Squid Baron went to Shantae and her two friends Sky and Bolo after a while and asked her to return three of his children, being Golden Warp Squids. The Baron then gave her an amulet and information about Risky Roots.
The Squid Baron returned in Shantae and the Pirates Curse, where he was suffering from what he calls 'Post Boss Syndrome'. Shantae later gave him a brochure where he then went to a desert island. The Baron later saw Shantae again, telling her that his vacation was most likely ruined, he later left after being convinced that he sill had some time left. The Baron later showed up in a labyrinth, acting a bit insane and decided to fight against Shantae. After losing, the Squid Baron felt like he regained his fighting spirit and later left.
The Squid Baron also appeared in Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, where he teamed up with the Hypno Baron in hopes to make a brand of himself, only to later fight against Shantae with the help of the Hypno Baron. The Squid Baron was considered dead, only to later go back to working with the Hypno Baron. The Squid Baron later appeared in art museum and took down some fanart and wanted Shantae to give him a Squid Baron poster, in return gave her an item that originally belonged to Risky Boots.
The Squid Baron continued to work with the Hypno Baron throughout the DLC missions to fight against Risky Boots, Bolo, Sky and Rottytops as well as Shantae in various costumes.
