The Soldiers of Darkness made their first appearance in the episode Parrot Castle II, where they were imprisoning Parrots under the orders of the Commander of Darkness, they also captured both the Parrot King and Jumpy Ghostface. They, however fled after encountering an army of Zebra Clones. They gave up running from the Zebra Clones and later found the Zebra Brothers running towards them, where they would later chase after the two Zebras.
The Soldiers of Darkness returned in the episode Revenge of the Commander of Darkness, where they went to capture a large centipede, only for the Commander of Darkness to use it's earwax to turn them into super soldiers. After this, the Soldiers of Darkness took over Koala Castle and made breath allies with most of the [[Koalas] (Hero 108)|Koalas]], with two of the members gaurding the real Koala King as thier Commander disguised himself as him. The Soldiers of Darkness were however defeated by Commander ApeTrully and First Squad.
One member of the Soldiers of Darkness appeared in the episode Enter the Dragon, where he went to light up the Commander of Darkness' lamp hat.
It is assumed that the Soldiers of Darkness joined Big Green some time after the Commander of Darkness joined.
