Rottytops is a recurring protagonist in the Shantae series.

Shantae[]
Rottytops made her first appearance in Shantae, where she would go off to race against Shantae to give her information. After Shantae won, Rottytops went to a swamp to let Shantae enter a labyrinth and headed back to her caravan. Back at her caravan, she would offer Shantae to another race.
Rottytops returned in Shantae: Risky's Revenge, where Shantae went to her to ask for her advise on what Risky Boots is planning now. Shantae later went to Rottytops to ask her for a coffee machine to give a drink to her brothers Abner Cadaver and Poe. Rottytops and her brothers would later go to help Risky Boots to kidnap Mimic, only to leave after Risky did not deliver on her promise on coffee beans.
Rottytops also appeared in Shantae and the Pirate's Curse, where she moved to a different island with her brothers. She later faked an injury to make Shantae carry her to her brothers' house, leading the four to talk about their last encounter. A version of Rottytops was also seen in the village of lost souls, possibly a part of her soul, where she went to help Shantae enter deeper into the labyrinth. This version of Rottytops also went to help a warrior to imprison the Hexer and allow other lost souls to escape. Rottytops and her brothers later went to the main land and thanks Shantae for what she did after she defeated the Pirate Master.
In Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, Rottytops went to Scuttletown to ask Shantae if she wants to go the Magic Carptet race with her and so did, with Bolo and Sky, Rottytops later commented that Shantae was the winner of the race. Rottytops later returned to help Bolo and Sky with a machine that Mimic was working on. As seen in the Friends 'til the End DLC, Rottytops teamed up with Sky and Bolo to enter Shantae's dreamworld, visited some of the places she went to and defeated the foes she encountered. The three later went to defeat Nega-Shatnae and brought the real Shantae back. Rottytops later went to give advise to Shantae about defeating Risky Boots and a bit later as well.
Risky Boots was seen hiding in Shantae's pillow in one of the costume DLC's.
