Ripto Was a recuring villain in the Spyro series.

Ripto's original design.
Ripto first appeared in Spyro 2 Ripto's Rage, also known as Spyro Gateway to Glimmore, as the main antagonist along with his two hencmen Crash and Gulp. He later saw the Professor, Hunter the Cheetah and Elora the Faun brought a Dragon known as Spyro the Dragon to put a stop to his plans. Ripto sent his two minions to fight against Spyro, only for them to lose, he later went to face the dragon on a one-on-one match, only to lose and fell into the lava.
Ripto was mentioned in Spyro: Year of the Dragon, where both he and Gnasty Gnorc were planning to take care of the 'Spyro problem'.

Ripto returned in Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, Ripto as well as Crash and Gulp returned to send all the Dragonflies across the Dragon Realm. He later went to hiding and waited for Spyro to appear to fight against him. He also had the ability to turn into a monster for a short time.
Ripto also appears in Spyro: Attack of the Rhynocs, where Ripto hired the Rhynocs to help him in his plans and to fight against Spyro once again. Ripto also sent Crash and Gulp to also fight against Spyro. Ripto later went to fight against Spyro, only to lose once again.
In Spyro: Orange the Cortex Conspiracy and Crash Bandicoot: Purple Ripto's Rampage, Ripto teamed up with Dr. Neo Cortex to help eachother turn their enemies against themselves, being Spyro and Crash Bandicoot. They did this by giving the Riptocs masks that resemble the dragon and the bandicoot. This plan however failed and both Spyro and Crash went to fight and defeat the two.
Ripto was mentioned in Spyro: Shadow Lagacy, in a book that detailed an adventure that Spyro took when he wanted to go the the beach.
