Nightshade is a playable character in the Skylanders series, in the series he is a part of the Dark Element.

A charismatic ninja thief, Nightshade is by far the most famous burglar that Skylands has ever known. Very smooth, charming, classy, and old-school cool. He was born rich and doesn’t need the treasure he steals. He only does it to show off how awesome he is. When the Core of Light was destroyed and the Dark Realm was cut off from the rest of Skylands, Nightshade was rumored to have finally retired from the game. But now that the Midnight Museum is set to host one of Skylands’ rarest treasures, the Dark Eye of Unvisibility, everyone knows it’s only a matter of time before Nightshade resurfaces for one last, big heist.

Skylanders[]
Nightshade was a famuous theif in all of Skylands until the Core of Light was destroyed, however when another structure known as the Cloudcracker Prison was destroyed he returned for his heists. In Skylanders: Trap Team, Nightshade appears in the Midnight Museum where he is looking for the Dark Eye of Unvisibility to help him in his theiving. He fought against the Skylanders for the Dark Eye but was defeated and Trapped. He also has a Villain Quest where he has to help Tessa obtain a Hat.
Nightshade also appears in Skylanders: Lost Islands.
In Skylanders: SuperChargers, Nightshade appears through a minigame.
Nightshade was mentioned in Skylanders: Imaginators, as the Sensei Dark Realm was his vault of stolen treasures.
In Skylanders: Ring of Heroes, Nightshade returns as one of the main antagonists.

- Nightshade may have been based off of Sly Cooper, a main and titled character of his own series.
- Both Nightshade and Luminous appear in Adventure Packs, represent the two new Elements and are classed as Doom Raiders. Although it is unknown if either of them met the other members before Trap Team.
