Mimic is a recurring protagonist in the Shantae series.

Mimic was the brother of Shnatae's father and an explorer for mystic and ancient artifacts.
Mimic made his first appearance in Shantae, where Risky Boots locked him up in Scuttle Town and stole his costume made Steam Engine. Afterwards, Mimic would give advise to Shantae on what to do next. Mimic was later seen after Shantae destroyed the Steam Engine replica and later left after a convisation.
Mimic returned in Shantae: Risky's Revenge, where he was showcasing an event, only to find an old lamp that coursed suffering in the past and later saw Risky take it. Mimic later had a convisation of Shantae about the lamp and some seals, only to head back to his lab afterwards. Mimic would once again tell Shantae what to do next is approched. Mimic was also seen after Shantae lost her Genie powers and when she got her job back.
In Shantae and the Pirates Curse, Mimic captured a Tinkerbat and later went to help Shantae with some legal issues. Afterwards, Mimic went back to his lab to give Shantae advise if once again approched. Mimic was also seen after Shantae defeated the Pirate Master and noticed that Shantae regained her genie powers and went back home a bit later.
In Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, Mimic was seen creating something in his lab and was asking Shantae, Bolo, Sky and Rottytops to help him create it. After it was finished, Risky Boots sabataged it and turned Shantae evil as well as took his machine. As seen in the Friends Til' the End DLC, Mimic went to guide Bolo, Sky and Rottytops on how to work together. After Shantae woke up, Mimic went to offer her some advise, he was later seen after Shantae once again fought against Risky Boots and his currpted invention, making shore that Shantae was okay.
In the costume Pack DLC, Mimic went to help Shantae in her quests across Sequin Land.
