Metal Sonic was created by Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik and was first seen in Sonic CD, where he would often race and fight against his organic counterpart Sonic the Hedgehog and would occasiounally kidnap Amy Rose.
Metal Sonic returned in Sonic the Hedgehog Tripple Trouble, where he was presumably went to fight against Sonic and his friends once more.
Metal Sonic also appears in Sonic Drift 2, where he would go off to race against Dr. Robotnik and his enemies in cars.
In Knuckles' Chaotix, Metal Sonic went to fight against Knuckles the Echidna, Charmy Bee, Espio the Chameleon and Vector the Crocadile, along with Dr. Robotnik and other Badniks.
In Sonic the Fighters, Metal Sonic joined a fighting compation with presumably a Fake Emerald that Dr. Robotnik gave him to battle against Sonic and his friends.
In Sonic R, Metal Sonic went to race against Sonic, Miles "Tails" Prower, Knuckles, Amy, Dr. Robotnik, Eggrobo, Mecha Knuckles and Tails Doll.
Metal Sonic makes a cameo appearance in Sonic Adventure, where Amy remembered Sonic saving her from him and Metal Sonic is also seen in Dr. Eggman's lab, possably being upgraded. In the Director's Cut, Metal Sonic becomes playable after collecting all of the Emblems.
Metal Sonic makes a cameo appearance in Sonic 4: Episode I, possably on one of the
moniters in Dr. Eggman's labs.
In Sonic 4:: Episode II, Metal Sonic was brought back by Dr. Eggman to fight against Sonic and Tails.
In Sonic 4: Episode Metal, Metal Sonic went to help Dr. Eggman fight against Sonic and Tails once again.
In Sonic Adventure 2, Metal Sonic would go off to race against Sonic, Amy or Shadow the Hedgehog.
In Sonic Pinball Party, Metal Sonic appears.
In Sonic Heroes, Metal Sonic imprisoned Dr. Eggman and went look for Shadow, Sonic, as well as Froggy and a Chao known as Chocala. He also disguised himself as Dr. Eggman to fight against Team Sonic, Team Dark, Team Rose and Team Chaotix. After collecting all the data he needed, Metal Sonic went to turn himself into the Metal Madness and fight against the four teams, he was however defeated, falling to his defeat and both Shadow as well as E-123 Omega to look after him until he reactivates.
In Sonic Rivals and Sonic Rivals 2, Metal Sonic returns to face off against Sonic and his friends once more.
In Sonic Free Riders, Metal Sonic went to race against Sonic and the Babylon Rougues in a hoverboard compation.
In Sonic Jump Fever, Sonic Runners, Sonic Forces: Speed Battle and Sonic Dash, Metal Sonic appears.
In Sonic Forces, Metal Sonic joined back up with Dr. Eggman to fight against Sonic once again.
In Team Sonic Racing, Metal Sonic went to race with Dr Eggman and Zavok to race against Sonic and his friends.
Super Smash Bros.[]
Metal Sonic appeared in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, most likely a trophy for the fighters to collect.
Metal Sonic also appears in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, possably as a trophy once again.
Metal Sonic has also appeared in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: World of Light, as one of the spirits, where he controls Sonic the Hedgehog in a Metal coat. If defeated, he would ally himself with the fighters in their other battles.
