| ~ Medic, Team Fortress 2. |
The Medic is one of the playable characters in the Team Fortress series.
History[]
Team Fortress[]
Dr. Ludwig was born in Germany where he became a doctor and made a deal with the Devil. He later lost his medical license by taking a skeleton away from a living patient.
In Team Fortress 2, The Medic, alongside eight other mercenaries were hired by Redmond Mann or Blutarch Mann to fight in the Gravel Wars.
In Meet the Soldier, a BLU Medic went to fight against Soldier, only to die by his rocket. Later, a BLU Medic's head is seen alongside the heads of other BLU team members.
A BLU Medic appears as a silhouette in Meet the Engineer, where he is possibly ready to fight against the Engineer.
In Meet the Demoman, a BLU Medic is seen chasing down the Demoman along with Heavy, Soldier and Spy, only to die to the stickybombs planted by that Demoman.
A BLU Medic appears in Meet the Sniper, healing a Soldier, only to be headshot by Sniper.
In Meet the Spy, a BLU Medic encounters a RED Spy, only to see the Spy disguise himself as the Medic, before knocking him unconscious.
In Meet the Medic, Medic is seen experimenting on Heavy and replaces his heart with that of a "Mega Baboon" whilst surrounded by his Doves, one being Archimedes. Heavy's new heart will allow it to sustain the invulnerability-granting effects of the Medic's Ubercharge. Both Medic and Heavy leave the Lab, where Medic heals both Demoman and Scout, only to later Uber Heavy to fight and defeat an army of BLU Soldiers. At the end, it is shown that the Medic has repeated the same operation on all of the other mercenaries.
In Meet the Pyro, a BLU Medic was seen being burned alive by the Pyro.
In Expiration Date, both the Medic and Engineer were studying the teleporters, only to discover that the bread they're teleporting are growing tumors. This leads them to believe that the team also has these tumors, and the Medic estimates that they have only three days to live. Both Medic and Engineer go back to their research, only to later find out that they were not getting any tumors and that the tumors only affect bread. Because of this, both the Medic and Engineer went to tell the rest of the team, only to learn that Soldier has been doing nothing but teleporting bread throughout the last three days. This repeated mutation of the bread lead to it becoming an enormous bread monster. During the battle, Medic can be seen Ubering Heavy.
Medic makes a cameo appearance in the webcomic Meet the Director, where he was possibly one of Soldier's heads and a RED Medic is seen on the Administrator's screen.
In the webcomic A Fate Worse Than Chess, Saxton Hale fired the Mercenaries, only to rehire them again to fight against the Machines. After hearing this, Medic went to ready himself for battle.
In Mann vs. Machine, a BLU Medic, along with a BLU Soldier and BLU Demoman went to team up with a RED Heavy, Red Scout and RED Engineer to fight against the Machines.
In the webcomic Shadow Boxers, Medic is seen with the rest of the team, preparing for their next battle against the Machines. Ms. Pauling mentions that Medic is from Germany and that Heavy is Russian to the great dismay of Soldier, a proud American. Heavy denies this in order to calm down the Soldier.
In the webcomic Death of a Salesbot, Medic appears with the rest of the Team, where they were becoming fed up with having so much money after destroying multiple Machines. After destroying another wave of robots, Medic noticed that they wanted them to buy their hats and later saw a futuristic Engineer and a flying Pyro head trying to worn them about the crates, only to leave.
In the webcomic Gargoyles & Gravel, After being robbed, Medic took the robber's brain and worked with the Engineer to make a living pumpking. After Merasmus appeared, Medic went with the rest of the team to fight whatever forces the wizard would summon that year.
In the webcomic A Cold Day in Hell, after the team disbanded, Medic was hired the Team Fortress Classic Mercenaries in lieu of TFC Medic, who's status is unknown. Medic performed many experiments on the TFC Mercenaries, such as putting three baboon uteruses in Greg, the TFC Scout.
In the webcomic Catch-Up, Medic appears when Saxton Hale was trying to explain the events of what has happened so far.
In the webcomic Blood in the Water, Ms. Pauling goes to ask the Administrator about Engineer and Medic, only to be dismissed. Medic and the Team Fortress Classic Mercenaries later appeared to capture his old team, and end up killing the Sniper.
In the webcomic Old Wounds, Medic meddles in God's domain, and brings Sniper back to life, spending roughly $1.3 billion of the TFC mercs' budget on the operation. TFC Heavy is enraged to learn Medic for resurrecting one of their enemies, and in his rage, kills Archimedes, who is immediately brought back to life by Medic. Because of this, Medic defects and rejoins his old team.
In the webcomic The Naked and the Dead, Medic goes to revive his old team by sopping their blood up off of the ground, and putting it back into their bodies. Whilst healing the Demoman, he asks why the Medic can't just grow back his eye, who told him that they spent eight years fighting against a version of Monoculus and that Demoman's eyesocket is haunted. The TFC Heavy later appeared to ask for some help, only to later shoot him as the TF2 Heavy appeared. Dr. Ludwig went to conduct his papers with the Devil, only to tell him that he surgically added eight more souls onto himself and traded a second soul, possibly Scout's for a pen and went back to the world of the living. The Medic than went to confuse the TFC Heavy, only for the TF2 Heavy to remove the live extension machine and Medic took a small monkey out of the TFC Heavy. Medic was seen with the rest of the team celebrating their victory.
