Max is one of the two main protagonists in the Sam & Max series.

History

Sam & Max

Max was best friends with Sam growing up, more or less, even beginning their Freelance Police buisness.

Max first appeared in the comic...

In Sam & Max: Hit the Road, Max went with Sam to go on a case to help some circus freaks return a frozen Big Foot to them.

In Sam & Max: Season 1 Save the World, Max was seen with Sam, ready to watch television, only to notice that the Soda Poppers was creating grafity of Brady Culture. Max would occasion banter with Sam about their adventure and may even speak to both Sybil Pandemik and Bosco. After the Soda Poppers were defeated, both Sam and Max would head to Brady's hideout and confrunt him, only for Max to be kidnapped since he was not able to be hypnotised, he was later saved by Sam.

Star Wars

Max has been shown to appear in some parts of the Legends timeline in the Star Wars series.

Max appears through a vision in Star Wars: Dark Forces, where he can be seen in Hoth.

Max also appears in Star Wars: Rouge Squadron III: Rebel Strike, where he is seen in a backroom.

Max also appears in the video game version of Shadow of the Empire, presumably in the backroom still.

Max makes his last known appearance in Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, although it is unknown where.

Poker Night

Max appears in Poker Night: At the Inentory, where he is one of the contestants, along with Strong Bad from Homestar Runner, Heavy from Team Fortress 2, Tychoo from Arcade Penny and the Player.

Max also appears in the sequal Poker Night 2, as Sam's plus one. Sometimes making banter with other contestents.

Team Fortress

Items based off of Max appears in Team Fortress 2, these items being: License to Maim, Lugermorph, Big Kill (Sam's gun) and Max's Severed Head.
