Madeline is the main protagonist in the Celeste indie video game.

Madeline was someone who suffered from depression and so went to a mountain known as Celeste in hopes of getting rid of it. Madeline later spoke to an Old Woman and later left following a Bird and met another mountain climber known as Theo. She took a break and went to sleep a bit later only to have a nightmare about a being known as Badeline following her and so went to talk to possibly a former friend on the phone. She later woke up and talked to Theo once again, only to later leave and talk to her mother on the phone. Madeline later went into an abandoned Hotel and met Mr. Oshiro and so to help him clean up the hotel and saw Theo trying to escape from it. After entering the President Suite, Madeline tried to help Mr. Oshiro, only for Badeline to appear and mock him and the two left, only for Badeline to mock Mr. Oshiro once again, leading to Madeline to run from him. A bit afterwards, Mr. Oshiro decided to close the hotel for repairs, leading to Madeline to continue her travel up the mountain until she saw a gondola. She and Theo later went on a ride on the Gondola, only for her to have a panic attack and Theo trying to help calm her down. A bit afterwards Madeline followed Theo into a mystic temple, only to see Monsters known as Seekers. She later saw Theo stuck in a crystal with eyes starring at him and so went to help him escape the temple. Both Madeline and Theo went to discuss the mountain and each other and later went to sleep. In the dream, Madeline was thinking of using the feather to help her get rid of Badeline, only for her to through Madeline down the Mountain with her. Madeline went to see if she could climb the mountain a bit more, only to speak to the Old Woman again, giving her the advice to talk things out with to Badeline and so Madeline went to go look for her. When she found Badeline, Madeline went to chase her and so ought up with her, only to ask for her help. The two later saw both Theo and the Old Woman again, only for the two to help climb the mountain all the way to the top and so did. The two later headed down to the Old Woman's house and decided to bake a pie out of the strawberries that she has collected over the journey to share with everyone she met on the mountain. She later went to enjoy her self and often hung out with Theo. After a year has past, the Old Woman phoned Madeline to explore the heart of the mountain, Madeline later found out that she died. This lead to Madeline to follow the Bird once last time with the help of Badeline to speak to the Old Woman one last time, only to hear her laugh it off and see her fade away. Madelaine later woke up afterwards, thinking about the event and was later given a post card from Theo of his grandparents.
Tower Fall[]
Both Madeline and Badeline are playable characters in the Nintendo Switch version of Tower Fall.
