Luminous is an antagonist in the Skylanders series, in the series he is a part of the Light Element.
Biography[]
Being from the element of Light, Luminous has always feared the dark. Even his own shadow used to frighten him so he became determined to find a source of light so powerful and bright, no darkness, not even shadow, exists. This quest drove him quite mad and he set out to destroy all who opposed him. Finally, he managed to find what he was looking for - The Starlight. A source of light and energy so great, darkness could never escape. But it was protected by the Skylanders and Luminous was unable to get his hands on it.

Skylanders[]
Luminous was sent away to another Realm after the Core of Light was destroyed where he was mast likely imprisoned. In Skylanders: Trap Team, Luminous impersonated Maggs in the Sunscrapper Spire so that he could trick the Skylanders in freeing him. He later fought against the Skylanders but lost and was imprisoned in a Trap. He also has a Villain Quest where he has to brings a stone over for Buzz.
Luminous appears in Skylanders: Lost Islands.
Luminous also appears in Skylanders: SuperChargers, where he appears in a minigame.
In Skylanders: Ring of Heroes, reappears as one of the main antagonists.

Trivia[]
- Both Luminous and Nightshade appear in Adventure Packs, reprisent the two new elements and are classed as Doom Raiders. Although it is unknown if they have met any other members before Trap Team.
- Due to Luminous disguising himself as Mags in Sunscraper Spire, most fans though that he was Mags throughout the hole game, however this is false as the Spire is ment to be a prison for him.
