The Koopa, more commonly known as the Koopa Trooper or Koopa Troop are minor antagonists in the Mario series.

History

Mario

The Koopas first appeared in Super Mario Bros., where they would often go to fight against Mario and Luigi under the command of Bowser.

Super Smash Bros.

The Koopa appear in the Super Smash Bros., walking through the Mushroom Kingdom.

The Koopa also appear in Super Smash Bros. Melee, as a member of the Subspace Army and would go off to fight against the fighters, although they proberbly disconected after Bowser left the Army. The Koopa Troop are also a Tropthy.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the Koopa Troop appear as enmies to the fighters again and a a sticker of a socker Koopa appears.

The Koopa Troop also appear in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, where they would return as enemies once again and as trophies.

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: World of Light, the Koopa appears as two spirits. The Koopa Spirit would possesse a Squirtle to fight against the fighters and the Koopa in a Kart is possably an upgraded form.

Skylanders

The Koopas will appear in Skylanders: SuperChargers, where they will aid Hammer Slam Bowser in his battles against Kaos and his minions.

The Koopa also appear in Skylanders: Imaginators, to once again help Hammer Slam Bowser.
