Master King Pen is a playable character in the Skylanders series and a recurring character in the Skylanders Academy series. In the Skylanders series he is a part of the Water Element and Brawler Battle Class.
Biography[]
King Pen hails from a militaristic unit of penguins who protect the Cloudmelt Glaciers. During an epic battle, King Pen was trapped in an avalanche and had to take refuge in a nearby cave for the remainder of the winter season. During his solitude, he was visited by a mysterious Yeti Master, named Snow Wah, who began teaching him an ancient combat style known as “Flipper-Fu”. King Pen was already a skilled fighter, but the wise teacher helped him to understand the spiritual and philosophical nature of warfare, turning the penguin into an unstoppable force. When he finally emerged from the cave, tales of his newfound abilities spread far and wide. When Master Eon caught wind, he recruited King Pen into his top secret training program, where he quickly rose up the ranks to become the leader of the Skylander Sensei. Years later, King Pen returned to the site of the avalanche to thank his teacher, but no evidence of Snow Wah or the cave was ever found – leaving many to wonder if the Yeti had ever existed at all.

Master Dark King Pen
Master King Pen and the other Senseis where summoned by Master Eon to help the Portal Masters create their own Skylanders known as the Imaginatoes in Skylanders: Imaginators, while also fighting against Kaos and his minions in a casual way. King Pen also has a counterpart known as Dark Master King Pen.
Kin Pen also appear in Skylanders: Ring of Heroes, where he has a counterpart known as Shadow King Pen and the two have an Awakened Form each.
Skylanders Academy[]

King Pen made his first cartoon appearance in the episode Missing Links, where he gave a group of Skylanders, being: Spyro the Dragon, Stealth Elf, Pop Fizz, Jet-Vac and Eruptor a creation crytal to make their own Imaginator known as Cy (Skylanders Academy)Cy to help them work better as a team. King Pen was also seen in the thinking area with Master Eon, considering to disassemble Cy but changed his mind after seeing him and the Skylander team fight off a Fire Viper.
King Pen also appears in the episode Belly of the Beast, where he and Cy went to help the Skylanders fight against another Fire Viper.
King Pen made his last appearance in the episode Power Struggle, where he went to fight against both Kaos and Dark Spyro, he was overpowering them at first only to be defeated. King Pen later went to inform Master Eon about the return of Strykore.
It can be assumed that King Pen went back to his training a bit afterwards.
