Hunter the Cheetah is a recurring protagonist in the Spyro series and a minor protagonist in the Legend of Spyro trilogy.
History[]
Spyro[]
Hunter the Cheetah made his first appearance in Spyro 2: Gateway to Glimmare, also known as Spyro 2: Ripto's Rampage, where he was seen with Elana the Faun and the Professor, ready to summon a Dragon in hopes to fight against Ripto, Hunter later went to see Spyro the Dragon, only to be insulted by him. Hunter would later help Spyro on his quest to defeat Ripto. After Ripto was defeated, Hunter went to give the Gems that Moneybags took from Spyro back to him and saw him leave.
Hunter returned in Spyro: Year of the Dragon, where he was seen sleeping with the Dragons, only to have his tail stepped on by Bianca the Rabbit and so went to help Spyro chase after her. Hunter later gained a crush on Bianca, even went to bing her to help Spyro to fight and defeat the Sorceress. Hunter later went to date Bianca and even went to help Spyro to the Sorceress' treasure hoard.
Hunter also Spyro: Season of Ice and Spyro: Season of Flame, Hunter went to help Spyro fight against the Rhynocs.
In Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, Hunter went to a party with Spyro and Bianca, only to see Ripto, Crush and Gulp once again. He later went to help Spyro look for the Dragonflies.
In Spyro: Attack of the Rhynocs, Hunter went to help Spyro fight against the Rhynocs once again.
In Spyro Orange: The Cortex Conspiracy, Hunter once again went to help Spyro fight against the Rhynocs, dressed by both Ripto and Dr. Neo Cortex to resemble Spyro and Crash Bandicoot.
In Spyro: A Hero's Tail, Hunter went to take up archery and helped Spyro reach a clift side. Hunter would later help Sparx the Dragonfly to discover other locations and a bit later head off to look for Spyro in a winter wastland.
In Spyro: Shadow Legacy, Hunter went on holiday with Spyro and Bianca, only to later leave. He was possibly imprisoned by the Shadow Creatures, only to be freed by Spyro at one point.
Crash Bandicoot[]
Hunter the Cheetah appeared in Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage, through a minigame.
Hunter also appears as one of the playable racers in Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled, as one of the playable racers, along with Spyro the Dragon and Gnasty Gnorc.
The Legend of Spyro[]
Hunter was mentioned in The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night, he also made a cameo appearance after the credits.
Hunter appeared in The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon, where he went to help Spyro the Dragon, Cynder the Dragon and Sparx the Dragonfly fight against Malefor and his minions.
