Hot Dog is a playable character in the Skylanders series, in said series he is a part of the Fire Element.
Biography[]
Hot Dog was born in the belly of the Popcorn Volcano. While on a nearby mission, a team of Skylanders had come across the stray fire pup when the volcano erupted and Hot Dog came rocketing straight into their camp, accidentally setting Gill Grunt's tent on fire. Using his nose for danger, he helped the Skylanders complete their mission - even pouncing on a lava golem like a blazing comet when it threatened his new friends. After displaying such loyalty and bravery, Hot Dog was brought back to Eon's Citadel where he became a Skylander - and then he proceeded to bury Eon's staff.

Skylanders[]
Hot Dog was one of the Core Skylanders that aided the Giants to prevent Kaos from obtaining the Iron Fist of Arkus in Skylanders: Giants. He also has a counterpart known as Molten Hot Dog.
Hot Dog was one of the playable characters in the now discontinued Skylanders: Universe, roaming Skylands and finding for treasures.
Hot Dog also gains new abilities in Skylanders: SWAP-Force under the name Fire Bone Hot Dog, while helping the SWAP-Force in their adventure to prevent Kaos and his minions from trying to 'Evilize' the Ancient Elementals.
He also appears in Skylanders: Cloud Patrol.
Hot Dog made a cameo appearance in the comic Skylanders: Issue 1 Forgetting Flynn, where he is seen with other Skylanders helping Master Eon fight against Kaos.
Hot Dog made a cameo appearance in the comic Return of the Dragon King Part 2, where he was one of the Skylanders that where fighting off Malefor.
He made another cameo appearance in the comic Return of the Dragon King Part 3, where he was their where he seen when Malefor was defeated.
Hot Dog makes an appearance in Skylanders: Ring of Heroes, where he gains an Awakened Form.
Hot Dog made a cameo appearance in Skylanders: Battlecast, through one of the cards.
Hot Dog may also appear in Skylanders: Trap Team, Skylanders: SuperChargers, Skylanders: SuperChargers Racing and Skylanders: Imaginators, where he would help those various Skylander teams in their respected adventures.
