Glumshanks is a recurring character in the Skylanders.
History[]
Skylanders[]
Glumshanks was first introduced in Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure as Kaos' butler, often taking down notes and talking to Kaos about the current situation as well as the new Portal Master and what they are doing until Kaos ordered him to sabotage the Skylanders way to the Eternal Fire Source. He came back to Kaos only feeling mad until the Skylanders went after them.
In Skylanders: Giants, Glumshanks found a way to contact Kaos on Earth, after Kaos found his way back to Skylands and found the Arkeyan Conqurtron, Glumshanks aided Kaos once again. When the map of Arkas was destroyed, Kaos asked Glumshanks "didn't you see it?" where he stated that he does not remember it which gave Kaos the idea to look into Glumshakses mind and went home to do just that. After they found out what the map looked like, they went to use a drilling machine and later another method to reach the Lost City of Arkas. Glumshanks and the Conqurtron later picked up Kaos after his second defeat, leaving both Kaos and Glumshanks to head back home, only to find out that Kaos' Mother came back home as well.
In Skylanders: SWAP-Force, Glumshanks aided Kaos with his plans to take over Woodburrow with the Greebles until Kaos evilized him and sent him to a set of Arkeyan Ruins. Evil Glumshanks was recreating and using the Arkeyan machines to fight against the Skylanders, until they reawaken the Stone Monkey and would later fight the Skylanders in a machine that he created and summoned Arkeyan Knuckledusters until the Skylanders defeated him and turned him back into his original form, where his machine blow up. Glumshanks then went back to Kaos where the two were planning their attacks in the Cloudbreak Islands. Glumshanks was also seen drinking something with Kaos' mother and later was seen helping Kaos place a lot of Petrified Darkness until Kaos fell in it and transformed into Evil Kaos, both he and Kaos then found that they had their lower halves swapped and was flown from the Magic Volcano.
Glumshanks appeared in the comic Skylanders: Issue 0 The Trap Masters, where he was hired by Kaos to hear out his new scheme and to was Kaos' force fight against the Skylanders.
Evil Glumshanks made a cameo appearance in the comic Skylanders: Issue 2 Mini But Mighty, where Cali and Tessa were telling Weeruptor about the heroic deeds of the Skylanders.
In Skylanders: Trap Team, Glumshanks was seen with the Doom Raiders where Kaos was trying to take them over but later went to work for the Doom Raiders after Kaos lost an 'Evil-Off', mainly working for the Golden Queen. He went back to work for Kaos after the defeat of the Doom Raiders, where he tried to slow down the Skylanders with a minigame. Glumshanks also appears to bring the Skylanders, mainly Déjà Vu, to an ulternet universe where he will hang around the peaceful trolls and that universe's Kaos until both he and the Skylanders had to go back to their own universe.
In Skylanders: SuperChargers, Glumshanks continued to help Kaos up until the Darkness tricked Kaos into firing him. Because of this, Glumshanks went to help the Skylanders, Flynn, Cali, Hugo, Maggs and Sharpfin to defeat Kaos, often given them advise of what he knows about Kaos and what he heard from the Darkness while it was sleeping. When Kaos attacked Skylanders Academy, Glumshanks sacruficed himself to help the resistance, only to be captured by Pangerghast a bit afterwards. Cali, Flynn and the Skylanders later went to rescue Glumshanks in one of Pandaghast's events and so brought him back to the Academy. After the Skylanders brough the Dark Rift Engine, Glumshanks went this them, Flynn and Cali into the Sky-Eater and gave the Skylanders a quest to fight against a Hydra hatchling. He later went with Flynn and Cali to stop Kaos and the Darkness and was later seen with the resistance after the Darkness was destroyed. Glumshanks continued to stay with Kaos and would thank the Skylanders for what they did. Glumshanks is also one of the playable land racer villains along with the Chompy Mage, Count Moneybone, Dragon Hunter and the racing exclusive Dr. Krankcase, this also implies for the two games afterwards.
In Skylanders: SuperChargers Racing, Glumshanks was seen in the interview between Kaos and Pandaghast, he was also seen where Kaos took over Pandaghast's zeppelin to fight against the Skylanders.
In Skylanders: Imaginators, Glumshanks was seen still helping Kaos, although he often was often mistreeted by the Brain, Glumshanks was also seen to challenge the Skylanders to a game of skystones. He was however turned small and was trapped in a jar with Kaos.

Trivia[]
- GLumshanks has been shown to be of the Magic Element, possibly due to him hanging around Kaos for so long. This also makes him the only Magic Elemental Troll in the Skylanders series.
- Glumshanks appears to be neutral protagonist/antagonist in the series.
- A small gag in the Skylanders series is Glumshanks coming back home, pressumingly caught on fire and Kaos would ask 'Glumshanks! What are you doing here!? Hmm, Say Glumshanks, you look how different now.'
