Ghosts, also known as a Spirit, are a species in the Samurai Jack series.

Samurai Jack[]
The Ghosts made their first appearance in the episode The Beginning, where they tried to scare the prince away from Aku's lair, only to later disappeared.
In the episode Jack, the Woolies, and the Chritchellites, where Samurai Jack was sleeping and had a dream of fighting against some creatures until he had to free the Woolie.
In the episode Jack and the Three Blind Archers, Jack went to fight against the Three Blind Archers so that he could reach a Well and make a wish, however when he herd the the well is cursed he stabbed it and destroyed the Evil spirit that was inside the well.
In the episode Jack vs. Mad Jack, Jack was fighting various bounty hunters, only to later grow more iritated, witch lead to the creation known as Mad Jack, an evil looking form of Samurai Jack who foughtr each other until Jack saw peace within himself and later left.
In the episode Jack vs. the Lava Monster, Jack went through a series of challenges until he found the Lava Monster, who wanted to be fought and defeated so that he could finially go to Valhala.
In the episode Aku's Fairy Tales, Aku told various tales about himself and his rival Samurai Jack, some of witch have him turn his rival into a ghost.
In the episode Jack Remembers the past, Jack saw an area that was the ruins of his own home, where he remembered all of the stuff that happened when he was eight years old.
In the episode Jack vs. Demongo, the Soul Collector, Jack fought against a demon known as Demongo the Soul Collector, who used various fallen soldiers that where against Aku to fight against Jack, however these spirits where freed by Jack and turned on Demongo.
In the episode Jack and the Zombies, where Jack was tricked into going to a cemetery, where he fought against Dust Zombies and a Spirit took controll of Jack's Katana so that they could give it to Aku.
In the episode Jack and the Haunted House, Jack followed a young girl to her old house, only to have visions of what happened to her family. Jack later saw Kuni and her family, only for her family to turn into the Demonic Spirit and went to consume Jack. Jack and the Demonic Spirit had a fight, witch after being defeated, released all of his prisoners.
In the episode Aku Infection, after Aku infected Jack, slowly turning him into Jack-Aku, he went to some lizard monks and was restrained. Jack later went to look inwards to fight against the Infection with the memories of his parents and all of those he he helped in Aku's Future.
In the episode The Four Seasons of Death, Jack found himself in a rotting forest until he saw someone known as Spring who tried to make Jack relax, however after Jack received visions of Aku, he went to fight against Spring's abilities and later left after seeing the forest turn back to what it was.
In the video game Samurai Jack: The Shadow of Aku, Mad Jack returned to fight against Jack once again, only to be defeated once again.
In the third issue of the The Threads of Time, Samurai Jack went to a roman city, where he saw Gloer the Great, getting along with him and later went to fight against the Beetle Drones. After finding out that it was just Gloer reshowing his memories, Jack went to praze him for being a proud warrior, leading to Gloer to head to the afterlife in peace anf gave Jack one of the threads of time.
In the issue Crystal Caves of Calamity, Jack went to a hotel to go to sleep, only for Aku to send him to a cave. After Jack woke up, he went to fight against Crystalized versions of himself and went back to his journey a bit afterwards.
In the issue Brain Battalion, When Aku went into Jack's head, Jack's will and memories of his past went to fight against Aku until Aku left.
In the issue The Fallen Four, Jack was tricked by Aku to reawaken one of his old robot armies to fight against, only for Jack to team up with four fallen heroes to fight against the army.
In the issue Mad Mutts of Mystery, Jack and the canine arciologists went to an old temple where they saw the ancient Dog Spirit. The Spirit currpted the archologists and went to fight against Jack until Jack gave him a buiscutt and went to travel with Jack for a small while.
After Jack lost his sword, he was having illusions of his people and those he did not save constantly haunting him.
In Episode XCII, Jack was hilusinating about his people drowning in a river. Dauring his battle with Scaramouche the Merciless, Jack had another hilusination about the children that possably died due to Scaramouche and The Omen.
In Episode XCIII, Episode XCIV and Episode XCV, Jack saw a versions of himself trying to tell him to give up as well as the Omen once again.
In Episode XCVI, The Scotsman brough his army and Daughters to fight against Aku, however it did not go as expected, The Scotsman went to insult Aku and died. A bit afterwards the Scotsman turned into a ghost and went with his daughters back to the highlands to think of a new strategy. The Oman also went to see Jack and went on a walk with him.
In Episode XCVII, The Omen and four Samurai Ghosts went to see Jack commit Sappuko, only for Ashi to talk him out of it and defeat the Omen, because of this, the Samurai Ghosts went back to their graves in both a repectful and disappointed manner.
In Episode XCVIII, Jack went to see a Buddhist Monk to see how he can reclaim his sword. This caused Mad Jack to show himself and smack the Samurai down, only for Jack to truly destroy Mad Jack. This caused Jack to be redeemed by Odin, Ra and Vishnu and brought him back into his prime as well as gave him back his sword.
In Episode C, Jack saw a version of himself one last time, telling him to be careful and wondering what he was going to do.
In Episode CI, The Scotsman used his ghostly powers to help fight against Aku, along with all the friends that Samurai Jack has made along the way.
After Jack returned to the past to destroy the Past Aku, it is unknown what happened to most of the Ghosts and Spirits.
