Flashwing is a playable character in the Skylanders series and a recurring character in Skylanders Academy. In the Skylanders series, she is a part of the Earth Element.
Biography[]
Flashwing's true origins are a mystery. But her first appearance came when Bash made a wish that he could fly and looked up to see a shooting star streak across the sky and land in a valley below. In the center of the glowing impact crater was a large, brilliant geode - which suddenly cracked open to reveal Flashwing. Bash may not have soared that day, but his heart sure did, because Flashwing was beautiful... and lethal. As soon as Bash stepped closer, the gem dragon turned towards him. Not knowing if he was friend or foe, she blasted him off of the cliff with a full force laser pulse from her tail! Perhaps Bash flew that day after all.

Skylanders[]
Flashwing was first seen in Skylanders: Giants, as one of the new Core Skylanders that aided the Giants in their adventure to prevent Kaos from obtaining the Iron Fist of Arkus and waking up the Arkeyan army. She also has a counterpart known as Jade Flashwing.
Flashwing was one of the playable characters in the now discontinued Skylanders: Universe, roaming Skylands and finding treasures.
Flashwing gainst a counterpart in Skylanders: SWAP-Force known as LightCore Flashwing, where she would help the SWAP-Force to prevent Kaos and his minions from trying to 'Evilize' the Ancient Elementals.
She also appeared in Skylanders: Cloud Patrol.
Flashwing appeared in Skylanders: Battlecast, through a card based strategy game.
Flashwing also appears in Skylanders: Ring of Heroes, with a counterpart known as Light Flashwing and the two can gain an Awakened Form.
Flashwing may also appear in Skylanders: Trap Team, Skylanders: SuperChargers, Skylanders: SuperChargers Racing and Skylanders: Imaginators, where she would help those various Skylander teams in their respected adventures.
