Dragon (Spyro) are recurring characters in the Spyro series.

Spyro[]
The Dragons live for a long time, only to be kicked out of their original home thanks to the Sorceress.
In Spyro the Dragon, two dragons where being interveiwed by someone known as Bob, until one of the dragons where moking Gnasty Gnorc, who later turned them all into emerald or jade statues. This lead Spyro the Dragon to go on a quest.
The Dragons where memtioned in Spyro 2 Ripto's Rage, also known as Spyro 2 Gateway to Glimmore.
In Spyro: Year of the Dragon, the Dragons noticed someone stealing their eggs and so sent Spyro and Hunter the Cheetah to to the Forgotten Realms to look for the missing Eggs. It appeared that the one that stole the eggs was someone known as Bianca the Rabbit, who was doing it under the command of the Sorceress. After Spyro defeated the Sorceress, some of the Dragons went back to the Forgotten Realm and made it their home.
Only one known dragon, apart from Spyro appeared in Spyro Enter the Dragonfly, being known as the Dragon Spirit, who gave Spyro some advise.
In Spyro Season of Ice, Spyro Season of Flame and Spyro Attack of the Rhynocs, the Dragons went to help Spyro in his quest to fight against the Rhynocs.
Some of the Dragons went to help Spyro in both Spyro: Orange The Cortex Conspiracy and Crash Bandicoot: Purple Ripto's Rampage, to stop both Ripto and Dr. Neo Cortex and their plans. They may also appear in the minigame.
In Spyro: A Hero's Tail, the Dragon Elders went to teach Spyro new abilities to fight against the Gnorcs and Red, a former Dragon Elder. Spyro also met two other Dragons known as Ember and Flame.
In Spyro Shadow Legacy, the Dragon Elders went to train Spyro, while another Dragon known as the Sorcerer sent out Shadow Creatures to kidnap the local residents of the Dragon Realms. This lead to Spyro fighting against the Shadow Creatures and redeeming Red to become a Dragon Elder once again.
It can be beleived that the Dragons continued to exist for future events.
The Legend of Spyro[]
The Dragons were went to train a young Malefor, unit he betrayed them. This lead to the other Dragons to fight against him and sent him to the Pit of Lost Souls. A hundred years later, a Dragon known as Ignitus to send an egg down a river.
The egg was than dilivered to a pair of Dragonflies and named the Dragon that came out was known as Spyro the Dragon. In The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning, both Spyro and Sparx the Dragonfly went to the woods, only to fight against the Apes, because of this, the two Dragonflies than told the two to explore the world for Spyro's true origins. Spyro and Sparx later saw Ignitus, who gave the two advise. Spyro also went to fight against Cynder the Dragon, who was under the control of Malefor.
The Dragons also appear in The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night, where they went to help Spyro, Sparx and a redeemed Cynder to fight against Malefor and the Apes. Spyro also saw a Dragon known as the Chronicler and during a fight against the Ape King, Spyro turned into Dark Spyro for a while, only to turn back to normal and was frozen in a crystal with Sparx and Cynder.
In The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon, the Dragons went to help Spyro, Sparx Cynder and Hunter the Cheetah to fight against Malefor once again as well as his new minions, the Grublins. After Spyro and Cynder fought against Malefor, the Spirits of the Dragons went to help take down Malefor. Ignitus also took the job of the Chronicler after he retired.
