Charlie Kane is a playable character in the Twisted Metal series.
History[]
Twisted Metal[]
Charlie Kane first appeared in the 1995 version of Twisted Metal, where he entered the Twisted Metal in his taxi known as Yellow Jacket to look for his long lost son. He was seen fighting against Agent Stone, Angela Fortin, Bruce Cochrane, Captain Spears, Commander Mason, Dave & Mike, Mr. Ash, Mr. Grimm, Scott Campbell, Sergeant Carl Roberts and Sweet Tooth. He later went to fight against Minion, by himself. After Charlie Kane went to speak to Calypso, he heard that his son was Sweet Tooth, leading Charlie to believe that he murdered his own son and so left.
Charlie Kane later returned in Twisted Metal 2, where he was seen driving in a vehicle known as Dark Tooth where he went into the Twisted Metal contest to fight against Bruce Cochrane, Mr. Grimm, Sweet Tooth, Minion, Amanda Watts, Axel, Captain Jamie Roberts, Captain Rogers, Ken Masters, Krista Sparks, Marcus Kane, Mike & Stu, Mortimer Scharf and Simon Whittlebone. Though Charlie wasn't easily defeated, as after the Dark Tooth vehicle was destroyed, he was seen piloting a large, flaming clown head that needed to be destroyed. It was believed that he died after this, but there could be a hint he may have survived.
Note: It should be noted that both Twisted Metal: Black and Twisted Metal: Lost take place within Sweet Tooth's head, meaning the events of the game may have either never happened or they are how Sweet Tooth saw said events play out.
Charlie Kane also appeared in Twisted Metal: Black, where he was known as Charlie Kane and Son, where he was a local cab driver that occasionally brought his unnamed son on a few cab rides. However, he once picked up a passenger that once shot him in the head and practically took his own life. Because of this, his unnamed son decided to use cybernetics and found a way to preserve his father's dying body. Later, Charlie Kane and Son entered a Twisted Metal contest where they went to fight against Sweet Tooth, Axel, Mr. Grimm, Agent Stone, Billy Ray Stillwell, Black, Bloody Mary, Cage, Dollface, John Doe, No-Face, Preacher and Raven. A bit later on, Charlie went to face off against Minion and a bit later an officer known as Warhawk. After Charlie Kane and Son won the Twisted Metal contest, Calypso later took the unnamed son's remote away that was controlling Charlie Kane's corpse and decided to make the unnamed son his new apprentice, in case he died and told the unnamed son that his brother would have also made a great apprentice but was defeated in said contest.
Charlie Kane once again appeared in Twisted Metal: Lost, where he seemed to be still a lifeless corpse that was being controlled by his unnamed son that is presumed to be a teen now. Once again, Charlie Kane and Son went to fight against Sweet Tooth, Axel, Mr. Grimm, Agent Stone (Twisted Metal: Black), Billy Ray Stillwell, Black, Bloody Mary, Cage, Dollface, John Doe, No-Face, Preacher and Raven. Along with Golden Tooth and Severed Sam. They seem to have entered the contest this time in hopes to end the Kane blood line, but were believed to be unsuccessful.
