Bounty Hunters are a group of individuals in the Star Wars series that are often noted for hunting down others for a prophet, some being either Jedi or Sith.

History[]

Star Wars[]

Over the years, many have gone into the industry of bouny hunting, often being hired by a family of creatures known simply as the Hutt Clan.

Two Bounty Hunters appeared in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, a hired gun called Zam Wesell, who was sent to eliminate Queen Padmé Amadala and a Mandalorian known as Jango Fett, where he was hired by Count Dooku to help create an army known as the Clone Troopers for the Old Republic. Dooku later brought him to fight against the Jedi and Padmé, although Mace Windu later decapatated him.

Bounty Hunters may have been hired by both the Conferdarcy of Independant Systems and Old Republic during the clone wars.

Bounty Hunters made their first appearance in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, where he Greedo went to collect a bounty for Han Solo, only to die. Jabba the Hutt and a few of the Bounty Hunters he hired went to meet up with Han, only for Han to tell him to wait a while until he gets the money from his dept.

The Bounty Hunters returned in Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back, where Darth Vader went to hire a group of them to capture members of the Rebel Allience, being Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca, C-3PO, R2-D2, Princess Leia Organa and Han. These Bounty Hunters were; Dengar, GI-88, Boba Fett, Bossk and Zuckuss. After Vader made a trap for the rebels, he tortured Han and later put him in carbonite, only to give him to Jango.

The Bounty Hunters returned in Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, where Jabba and Boba Fett were seen in his castle, Leia disguised herself as a Bounty Hunter, pretending to have captured Chewbacca to free Han, with C-3PO, R2-D2 and Luke also went to help her, only for Jabba to try and eliminate them with Boba too, only to be defeated.

It is assumed that Bounty Hunters continued their buisness after the defeat of the Galactic Empire in both the Expanded Universe and Disney timelines.
