Barkley is a playable character in the Skylanders series. In the series he is a part of the Life Element.

Barkley has the same backstory as Tree Rex, most likely due to the fact that he is Tree Rex's Sidekick and Mini counter part with three known forms, the third being Gnarly Mini.
In Skylanders: Giants and Skylanders: SWAP-Force, Barkley aided the Skylanders as a Sidekick.
Barkley appeared in the now discontinued Skylanders: Universe, as one of the magic items.
Barkley appeared in the comic Skylanders: Issue 1 Forgetting Flynn, Barkley was seen with the other Minis, asking Flynn questions until Flynn went to the Dreadyacht's kitchen.
Barkley also appeared in the comic Skylanders: Issue 2 Mini But Mighty, where he was seen, with Trigger Snappy and Hijinx trying to land the Dreadyacht. He later told Tessa to land the ship. He was later seen at the academy looking for the bathroom, only to bump into Night Shift, Bouncer and Trigger Happy, where he heard about Night Shifts story and left.
In Skylanders: Trap Team, Barkey made the seven other Sidekicks joined a new group of Skylanders known as the Minis, where they would help the Core Skylanders and the Trap Masters to recapture the escaped Villains. He also has a counterpart known as Gnarley Barkley.
He also appeared in Skylanders: Lost Islands.
Barkley may also appear in Skylanders: SuperChargers, Skylanders: SuperChargers Racing and Skylanders: Imaginators, where he would help the SuperChargers, Senseis and Imaginators in their respected adventures.
