The Badniks were created by Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik and kidnapped Animals in Sonic the Hedgehog, where Sonic the Hedgehog would fight against them to free the animals inside.
The Badniks returned in Sonic 2, where they would once again fight against Sonic under Eggman's orders as well as Miles "Tails" Prower.
Some Badniks appear in Sonic Chaos, to fight against Sonic once again.
In Sonic 3, The Badniks returned to fight against both Sonic and Tails under the leadership of both Dr. Ivo Robotnik and Knuckles the Echidna.
In Sonic & Knuckles, The Badniks contniued their fight against both Sonic and Tails, olny this time also going against Knucles after Dr. Ivo Robotnik betried him.
In Sonic CD, the Badniks would continue their battles against Sonic, with one known as Metal Sonic often trying to kidnap Amy Rose. It is belevied that almost all of the Badniks on Little Planet were destroyed due to time travel insidentses.
Four Badniks appear in Sonic R, these being Metal Sonic, Mecha Knuckles, Tails Doll and an Eggrobo. These four Badniks would race against Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy Rose and Dr. Ivo Robotnik across various tracks.
In Sonic the Hedgehog Triple Trouble, the Badniks would once again fight against Sonic as well as Knuckles.
The Badniks appear in Knuckles' Chaotix, where they would fight against Knuckles and Team Chaotix, being: Mighty the Armidillo, Ray the Flying Squrriel, Espio the Chameleon, Charmy the Bee and Vector the Crocodile.
In Sonic Labyrinth, the Badniks would appear to fight against Sonic once more.
In Sonic 3D Blast, the Badniks would fight against to prevent him from rescueing birds.
In Sonic Adventure, Dr. Eggman gave the Badniks upgraded to fight against Sonic and hid friends. Dr. Eggman also made a group of robots known as the E-100 Series, with E-100 Alpha trying to chase Amy Rose to help capture a bird. E-102 Gamma later became friends with Amy, only to later befriend Sonic and Tails in battle. Gamma later went to rescue the E-100 series, only to die rescueing E-101 Beta.
In Sonic Adventure 2, the Badniks would fight against Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and G.U.N. so that Dr. Eggman could get his plans in order. The Badniks may also fight against their creator, Shadow the Hedgehog and Rouge the Bat possably for training porpuses.
The Badniks appear in Sonic Heroes, to fight against the four teams under the command of Neo Metal Sonic. A Badnik known as E-123 Omega would also join Team Dark to fight against his own kind.
only three known Badniks appear in Shadow the Hedgehog, where they would go up against G.U.N. and the Black Arms. E-123 Omega would ally himself with Shadow the Hedgehog, while Egg Pawns and Shadow Androids would rage war against the other two factions.
Some newly designed Badniks appear in Sonic 06, where they would fight under Dr. Eggman's orders once again. They would go up again Sonic and his various friends as well as the minions of Solaris.
The Badniks returned in Sonic Unleashed, where they would once again fight against Sonic, one well known Badnik known as Orbot was also created during this time.
In Sonic Colors, the Badniks would again fight against Sonic again as well as the Wisp. Another well known Badnik known as Cubot was created during this time.
In Sonic Generations, the Badniks from the past and present went to fight again both Sonic the Hedgehog and his younger counterpart under the leadership of both Dr. Eggman and his younger self.
In Sonic Lost World, Dr. Eggman was telling the Deadly Six about his Badnik creations and later inslaved them, only for Sonic to free the Deadly Six so that they would use the Badniks against Sonic, Tails and the Doctor. The Badniks later went to ally themselves with the Doctor once again after the deafeat of the Deadly Six.
In Sonic Forces, the Badniks are seen around the world, where it is belevied that Dr. Eggman took over the world. The Badniks would fight against Sonic, his younger self and the Avatar.
