Aang is the main protagonist of the Avatar: The Last Airbender series.

History[]

Avatar[]

Aang was born a monk at the Southern Air Temple, sometimes visiting the other kingdoms, but when he was told that he was the Avatar he decided to run away with his bison known as Appa, when he was traveling across the oceans he froze himself and Appa.

He also made his first appearance in the episode The boy in the Iceberg, where an enraged Katara unknowingly broke the iceberg that held Aang and Appa. Aang was playing with penguins and brought Katara to an abandanded Fire Nation battleship and left after seeing the weapons on it. The two later went back to the Southern Water Tribe, witch enraged the locals of their actions. Aang later left.

The episode The Avatar Returns begins where the last episode left off, with Aang flying on Appa. Aang later went back to the Water Tribe after being attacked by Zuko and Iroh, this lead him to team up with both Sokka and Katara across the world.

In the episode The Southern Air Temple, Aang brough both Sokka and Katara to his old home, the Southern Airtemple. They were looking at the sights and went Aang saw his old friend's skeleton, he had a small tantrum. Aang, Katara and Sokka then disided to leave, only to bring another friend with them, being Momo.

In the episode The Warriors of Kyoshi, Aang, Sokka and Katara went to the Island of Kyoshi, only to be imprioned by the Kyoshi Warriors. Aang tried to impress the villagers. Afterwards, Aang, Sokka and Katara later left after befriending the Warriors.

In the episode The King of Omashu, Aang, Sokka and Katara went to the kingdom of Omashu. This made Aang remember his old friend and later went to see the King of the land who imprisoned both Fokka and Katara and sent Aang on some trials. After both Aang and the King fought, the king revealed him to be King Bumi, Aang's old friend and freed both Sokka and Katara.

In the episode Imprisoned, Aang, Sokka and Katara went to set up a camp, only to see the Fire Nation imprison inhabitans of the Earth Kingdom, such as a boy and his mother. Aang, Sokka and Katara set up a plan to free the prisoners, by making the Fire Nation Soldiers think that Katara is earthbending with Aang using his Airbending to push up a rock.

In the episode Winter Solstice, Part 1: The Spirit World, Aang, Sokka and Katara went to a town in a forest. After hearing that the town was being attacked, Aang later saw an enraged spirit known as Hai Bai. This caused him to enter the Spirit World.

The episode Winter Solstice, Part 2: Avatar Roku begins where the last episode left off, with Aang entering the Spirit World and saw The last Avatar, Roku and later was given a ride on Roku's friend known as Fang. Aang learned about the Avatar heritage and later went back to his own world to calm down Hei Bai.

In the episode The Waterbending Scroll, Aang was seen around a town, only to later be taught by Katara how to do water bending. He later fought against Zuko and hung around the Town once again.

In the episode Jet, Aang, Sokka and Katara went to a hideout and made friends with Jet and his gang. Aang and Katara later went back to travel with Sokka after realizing that Jet was tricking them.

In the episode The Great Divide, aang, Sokka and Katara went to travel across a canian with an Earthbender, only to have two rivaling tribes join them. Aang mostly tried to help the Earthbender fight against the canian's animals until everyone reached the end of the canian. Aang later lied to both tribes and went back to traveling with Sokka and Katara.

In the episode The Storm, Aang was remembering his old friend and later went to a fishing town with Sokka and Katara. AAng was later sculded by a local fisherman and later went to think about what he did, only for Katara to help train him a bit later. Afterwards Aang, Sokka and Katara later fought against Zuko once again later went back to the fishing town, where the fisherman gave them some fish to eat.


In the episode The Blue Spirit, Aang noticed that Sokka and Katara were becoming ill, only to hear from an elder that frozen frogs would heal their ilness. Aang later went to look for the frogs, only to be captured by Fire Nation. Aang was later rescued by the Blue Spirit. Aang later put the frogs in the mouths of both Sokka and Katara.

In the episode The Fortuneteller, Aang, Sokka and Katara went to a town where they saw the townsfolk looking at clouds and worshiping a Fortuneteller. Aang went to visit the fortuneteller to see if he and Katara would become a couple, only to hear that he was destend for greatness. He later went to stop the volcano from burning the town away.

In the episode Bato of the Water Tribe, Aang saw someone that both Sooka and Katara remembered known as Bato. Although Aang grew jelouse of Bato and hid a message from Sokka's and Katara's Father. However after helping the three on a boat, Aang gave them the map, only to be left alone. Aang later fought against a bounty hunter known as June and her two pets, with restored the trust of Sokka, Katara and Bato and so later flew on Appa with Sokka and Katara to the Southern Water Tribe.

In the episode The Deserter, Aang, Sokka and Katara went to meet a Fire Nation Traitor known as Jeong Jeong in hopes that Aang may learn how to fire bend. However after harming Katara, Aang claimed to never fire bend again, Aang, Sokka, Katara and Jeong Jeong later went to fight the Fire Nation and aftarwards Aang, Sokka and Katara went on Appa to their next location.

In the episode The Northern Air Temple, Aang, Sokka and Katara went to the Northern Air Temple. Hewever when they reached their, Aang dod not like seeing what happened to the temple. Aang later had a go at the Mechanist, only to later work with the mechanics to fight against the Fire Nation and escape.

In the episode The Waterbending Master, Aang, Sokka and Katara finally found their way to the Northen Water Tribe. AAng went to train under Pakku.

The episode The Siege of the North, Part 1 begins where the last episode left off, with Aang and Katara still training under Pakku. However after the Fire Nation appeared to fight against the Northern Water Tribe, Aang went to fight against them. Aang later appeared in the caven of spirits go to the Spirit World.

The episode The Siege of the North, Part 2 begins where the last episode left off, with Aang being carried by Zuko and he was mentally going through the Spirit World, He met back up with Hei Bai and later went to talk to Koh. Aang then woke up to see Zhoa murder the Moon Spirit. This caused the other spirit to control Aang and turned him into a Water Kaiju to fight against the Fire Nation. Aang later turned back to normal and went back to traveling on Appa with Sokka and Katara.

In the episode The Avatar State, Aang, Katara and Sokka went to the Earth Nation to see if he could control his Avatar State. However Aftar being pushed too far by Fong, Aang did go into the Avatar State, only to battle against the Earth Kingdom Soldiers and so left with Sokka and Katara.

In the episode The Cave of Two Lovers, Aang was training under Katara, only for the two and Sokka to enter a cave along with traviling nomads. Both Aang and Katara however was seperated by the rest of the group. This lead the two to discover the real legend of the cave and the two lovers and later escaped, only to meet the others outside.

In the episode Return to Omashu, Aang, Sokka and Katara went back to Omashu, only to see that the Fire Nation took control over it. Aang later fought against the Fire Nation to rescue King Bumi, Bumi later told him to look for a teacher that uses neutral jing. Aang later gave Tom-Tom back to his perants and left wit Sokka and Katara.

In the episode The Swamp, Aang, Sokka and Katara went to a Foggy Swamp and split up. Aang saw a girl and two flying boars, only to meet up with Sokka and Katara once again and fought against a Swamp Monster. Afterwards the group found out that the Swamp Monster was a Foggy Swamp resident. Aang, Sokka and Katara hung around the Foggy Swamp Tribe for a while.

In the episode Avatar Day, Aang, Sokka and Katara went to a festival, only to see a statue of him, Roku and Kyoshi being burned. After telling every one that he is the Avatar, Aang was imprioned. Sokka and Katara then got Aang freed and the three left.

In the episode The Blind Bandit, Aang Sokka and Katara heard about an underground wrestling tourniment and so went their. Aang later fought against the Blind Bandit. Aang later went to the Beifong family house where they met Toph Beifong and had dinner with their family. Aang, Sokka and Katara teamed up with Toph to fight against the Boulder and later went to travel with her.

In the episode The Chase, Aang, Sokka, Katara and Toph were camping the night, only for Aang to tell Katara to calm down after she goes through a break down. Aang was later being chased by Azula, Ty Lee and Mai. AAng later fought back and fired an Air blast at Azula with Katara, Toph and Zuko. Anng, Katara, Toph and Sokka later felt after Zuko tried to make them leave.

In the episode Bitter Work, Aang went under Toph's training. He later left after felling overworked. He later did some water bending training and a bit afterwards saw Toph bring Sokka out of a hole and so was able to Earth bend after a bit more training.

In the episode The Library, Aang, Sokka, Katara and Toph met a character known as Professor Zei at an Earth Kingdom Dinner and so traveled with him to a spirital library. The group let Toph stay behind and met the being known as Wan Shi Tong and read some of the stuff at his labrary, only to later leave after Sokka inraged Wan Shi Tong. Aang later had a go at Toph after not seeing Appa.

The episode The Desert begins where the last episode left off, with Aang, Sokka, Katara and Toph were traveling across the desert. Aang was still irratated that he lost Appa, although he gave Katara some cloud water. After Aang saw the Sand Benders and heared that one of them took Appa, he went into a rage and turned into the Avatar state for a while. Aang calmed down thanks to Katara.

In the episode The Serpent's Pass, Aang, Sokka, Katara and Toph were seen near a boat station and teamed up with Suki and her Kyoshi Warriors as well a family to go to the Serpent's Pass. After a few misteps on the Pass, the group finally go through, only for the mother of the family to give birth. Aang helped name the child as Hope.

In the episode The Drill, Aang, Soka, Katara and Toph went to fight against the Fire Nation and destroy their drill machine. after the wdrill was destroyed, Aang went to fight against Azula.

In the episode City of Walls and Secrets, Aang, Sokka, Katara and Toph sent to live a large building. However the group later went to disguies themselves to enter the main castle of Ba Sing Se. The group later found out the the guards are being let by Long Feng.

In the episode The Tales of Ba Sing Se, Aang went to help a Zoo keeper by creating a new Zoo and bringing every animal in the walled kingdom their.

Aang appeared in some of Appa's visions in the episode Appa's Lost Days.

In the episode Lake Laogai, Aang, Sokka, Katara and Toph teamed up with Jet, Smellerbee and Longshot once again to look for Appa. They later noticed that Jet was brainwashed, and tried to knock some sence back into him. The two groups then entered a secret location, only to fight against Jet once again after being brainwashed once more.

In the episode The Earth King, Aang, Sokka, Katara and Toph went to plan for a way to speak to the Earth King, only t find a bite mark Long Feng. Because of this Kuei arrested Feng, allowing Team Avatar to freely travel across the city. Thankfully they found Appa.

In the episode The Guru, Aang went to meet Pathik to train to use his avatar state properly. Aang later left because he felt that Katara was in danger.

In the episode The Crossroads of Destiny, Aang was traveling on Appa to pick up Sokka and Toph to go back to Ba Sing Se. When they reached the City, Aang teamed up with Iroh to look for Katara, only to later fight against Azula, Ty Lee, Mai and Zuko, only to nearly die. Aang was later ressurected by Katara.

Aang went into a coma for a month or two weeks, having nightmares about the Fire Lord. In the episode The Awakening, Aang woke up from his coma, only to see his friends once again. Aang tried to run from his problems, only for Yue to send him back to the stolen Fire Nation Boat to recover.

In the episode The Headband, Aang, Sokka, Katara and Toph stole clothes from the Fire Nation and tried to disguise themselves. Aang later went to a Fire Nation High School. Aang later made the student have a party in a cave and later left.

In the episode The Painted Lady, Aang, Sokka, Katara and Toph went to a Fire Nation fishing town. Aang later went to help Katara after siduising herself as the Pianted Lady, even after seeing the real Painted Lady.

In the episode Sokka's Master, Aang, Katara and Toph went to prevent a fire from spreading off of a meteor. Aang later went shopping to help Sokka feel better and told him to look for a master. Aang later went to visit Piandao after Sokka went to creat his sword, only for Piandeo to plaim that he is too old to fight the Avatar after he fought against Sokka.

In the episode The Beach, Aang, Sokka, Katara and Toph were camping until they had to escape from someone that Sokka would later call the Combustion Man.

In the episode The Avatar and the Fire Lord, Aang recived a message from Roku and so went to the Spirit World to see what happened to him and his former-old friend known as Sozin, Aang later went back to his own world to travel more with Sokka, Katara and Toph.

In the episode The Runaway, Aang, Sokka, Katara and Toph went to a Fire Nation village where Aang went to help Toph with her scams. Aang would later go to help both Toph and Katara fight against Combustion Man with Sokka and later left.

In the episode The Puppetmaster, Aang, Sokka, Katara and Toph went to another Fire Nation village. However after hearing that the town had an evil witch kidnapping people, Aang and Sokka went to investigate. Both them and Toph went to free the Fire Nation villagers. Aang and Sokka were later being puppeted by Hama until Katara stopped her.

In the episode Nightmares and Daydreams, Aang was suffering from nightmares about the Fire Lord Ozai. This lead Katara, Sokka and Topg to try to make him feel better. They later shaved some coralla-sheel to make shore that Aang was ready to fight Ozai.

In the episode The Day of Black Sun, Part 1: The Invasion, Aang went to ally himself the various friends to fight against the Fire Nation during an ecipes.

The episode The Day of Black Sun, Part 2: The Ecplise begins where the last one left off, Aang continued his fighting against the Fire Nation Soldiers until they brough out the War Balloons and Zeplins. This lead to Aang, Sokka, Katara and Toph to walk away.

In the episode The Western Air Temple, Aang, Sokka, Katara and Toph went to the Westarn Air Temple to recover from their failure at their last battle. Zuko later appeared in hopes to join the team, only for everyone to turn him down. Zuko later appeared again to become Aang's new fire teacher, leaving Aang to more or less forgive him.

In the episode The Firebending Masters, Aang and Zuko noticed that they were not getting anywhere with their firebending and so went on Appa to an old Fire Nation valley where they were tasked to carry a fire to two of the oldest firebenders. Aang lost his fire and made Zuko lose his, only to see a pair of dragons. The two later went to dance with the dragons and later went back to the Western Air Temple.

Aang was seen briefly in the episode The Boiling Rock, Part 1 as well as the episode The Boiling Rock, Part 2.

In the episode The Southern Raiders, Aang and Team Avatar were being attacked by Azula and so went to a group of small islands.

In the episode The Ember Island Players, Aang was pracitsing under Zuko and later went to a play about him with the rest of the group. The play made Aang question a bit about himself and later left in disappointment after the play finished.

In the episode Sozin's Comet, Part 1: The Pheonix King, Aang was still training to firebend under Zuko. Aang later went to train an attack against Ozai, however when he could not bring himself to murder the Fire Lord he left on a passing island.

The episode Sozin's Comet, Part 2: The Old Masters begins where the last one finished, with Aang asking four of his past live on their advise to defeat Ozai. These being Roku, Kyoshi, Kuruk and Yangchen. After being disappointed of what he heared, Aang went to go further across the Island, only to notice it to be a Lion-Turtle. The Lion-Turtle gave Aang a new power and Aang later left.

In the episode Sozin's Comet, Part 3: Into the Inferno, Aang went to fight against the Fire Lord, claiming to be the Pheonix King; Ozai.

The episode Sozin's Comet, Part 4: Avatar Aang left off where the last one left off, with Aang continuing his battle against Ozai. Aang however went into the Avatar state and was given the upper hand in the battle agaist Ozai. Although when he was forced to murder Ozai, Aang turned back to normal and went to take Ozai's bending away, nearly being corrupted by his essence. Afterwards Aang went to Iroh's tea shop to celebrate with his friends.

The Legend of Korra[]

After the the various years, Aang married Katara and had three children with her, being; Tenzin, Kya and Bumi. Aang also went to fight against Yakone and took away his bending. Aang died at the age of sixty-six, believed to be due to being frozen.

A vision of Aang appeared in the episode Out of the Past, where Korra, the new Avatar was trying to connect to her past lives.
